Of course, everything in moderation, but did you know that butter is actually GOOD for you—especially when it’s grass-fed, organic butter? Butter is rich in beta carotene, vitamin A, butyrate, and omega-3 fatty acids. Grass-fed, organic butter has all that plus vitamin K2 (which helps to strengthen your bones and prevents calcification in your arteries) and up to five-times more anti-cancerous CLA (conjugated linoleic acid) than regular butter. What’s not to love?

Imagine a world with only one flavor of ice cream; only one type of yogurt; and only one way to eat oatmeal, bread, and pasta. That’s exactly where we are with butter. The world is a colorful place with different climates and cultures and experiences for every personality. It’s time to elevate your butter! Enter Bijoux Crème, where food is about creating great memories.

Simply put: We want happier cows, a happier Earth, and a happier YOU!

All of the milk that goes into our compound butters is low-temp pasteurizedto preserve its natural nutritional benefitsusing batch pasteurization (also called 'vat pasteurization'). The milk is slowly heated to 145°F, held at that temperature for 30 minutes, then rapidly cooled. This method is relatively rare today, and is used primarily by local and regional creameries.

Our dairy farmers have a wide variety of cows. Most of the farms use Holstein or Jersey cows, however, many also have Brown Swiss, Guernsey, and Red Devon.

Though we don't require A2 selection or testing, because Guernsey cows produce a portion of the milk that comprises our compound butters, we can safely say that our butter is made from a combination of A1 and A2 milk.

In short, the certification processes for Organic, Non-GMO, Gluten-free, etc. are very expensive. At this stage in our business, such certifications are just not feasible.

However, because the farmers and producers of the ingredients which go into our flavored butters have earned such certifications, we can say with 100% confidence that our products are all-natural, gluten-free, GMO-free, and made with organic, grass-fed, pasture-grazed butter.

As required by law, we list all known food allergens on our product labels. Because Bijoux Crème is manufactured on shared equipment, our products may also contain other common allergens: peanuts, tree nuts, wheat, soy, eggs, fish, and shellsfish.

Bijoux Crème is committed to doing our part to contain the spread of COVID-19 and to protect the well-being of our customers and employees. As such, we strive to meet or exceed all public health mandates.

Thankfully, food production is already a very safe and sanitary process, and Bijoux Crème's cleaning and sanitizing protocols always meet or exceed public health guidelines.

Community and the Environment

Of course! Our hearts and minds are always focused on the conservation of the environment and the wellbeing of all living things. That’s why we've integrated responsible farming and sustainable processes into every facet of our business.

The Amish and Mennonite farmers that comprise the family of farms where we source our butter take a holistic approach to farming and have done so for well over 100 years. Their grazing practices follow regenerative agriculture methods as well as a sustainable approach to farming.

And, by refusing to source ingredients from farms that use synthetic chemicals or GMOs, we’re encouraging natural biodiversity in plants and wildlife, keeping the waterways clean, and maintaining the earth’s fertile soil.

Every little bit adds up to one big difference!

We're glad you asked! First and foremost, we're concerned about the environment--especially our oceans. For that reason alone we avoid using plastic whenever possible.

Furthermore, did you know that butter is slightly acidic? And, what happens when acidic food comes in contact with plastic? That's right, leeching. Plasticizers such as BPA (bisphenol A) leech into our food with prolonged contact, especially acidic foods.

Hopefully, you'll look at plastic butter tubs a little differently now.

Yes, there are other makers of flavored butter--some costing more, some less. First, know: You get what you pay for. Given the high-quality ingredients (organic, grass-fed, European-style butter and other all-natural ingredients) which go into our products, ours will likely cost more than most. If you find a competing product that costs more, by all means try them out. We're that confident that our flavored butter is the best around!
